Let’s start:

After you download the ISO from the website and put it into a USB (I used Rufus) turn on the machine and make sure it boot from the USB Stick you just created.

Select Install pfSense and OK.

Continue with the default keymap, unless you have another keymap, so in that case you have to find yours, and then press SELECT.

Pick your choice, in this case, I picked Auto (ZFS) and press OK.

You can configure your options here, I clicked >>> Install and press Select.

Same here, in my case, I only have 1 disk, so I clicked on stripe and press OK.

Then select your ZFS Configuration, I only had one option, I selected it and press Ok.

Confirm your choice and press Ok.

Then just wait until the installer finish it.

Unless you want to do a Manual Configuration, press No.

That’s it! It is Complete, now press Reboot and remove your USB Stick.

Wait for the system to Boot. When it ask you for VLANS, press No.

Select your WAN interface name or press ‘a’ for auto-detection, then select your LAN interface name of press ‘a’ for auto-detection.

If everything went well you should see a screen like this. With a WAN and a LAN interfaces and IP address assigned to them. If not, you can run the wizard again, option #1.

Open your browser and type your LAN IP, if everything went well, you will be WELCOME with this page.
